TDK-Epcos has released two new series of MMKP capacitors with metallized films on both sides. The new capacitors provide exceptionally high pulse strength and high current capability. Depending on the type and frequency, the allowed current may exceed 10 Arms. The compact design of the MMKP series is another outstanding feature. The size of the capacitor is between 4mm x 9mm x 13mm and 11mm x 18.5mm x 18mm, and the lead pitch is 10mm and 15mm.
The B32641B and B32642B series of rugged MMKP capacitors are designed for voltages of 630VDC or 1000VDC and have a capacitance range of 4.7nF to 150nF. Maximum operating temperature is + 110C.
The main applications are circuits operating at high frequencies and high currents, including resonant circuits for power supplies with LLC topology. MMKP capacitors are also suitable for switching power supplies or ballasts in lighting systems.
