Maxim MAX25410 USB PD Port Protection, now available in Mouser, is a USB-PD Type C based protection solution for car radios, navigation, connectivity and USB hub / multimedia module applications in cars.
This device provides a single-chip automotive USB-PD protection solution for CC1, CC2, D +, and D- signals on a USB Type-C connector. The device also provides a VCONN switch with advanced fault management capabilities, eliminating the need for a dedicated power supply.
Device protection features include �� 15kV IEC 61000-4-2, ISO 10605 ESD and protected HVCC1, HVCC2, HVD + and HVD- pins with a VBUS short (24V). The device also provides integrated BC1.2 charge detection CDP, DCP or pass-through (SDP) mode, Apple 2.4A, Samsung 2A and China YD / T 1591-2009 charge simulation support.
