KEMET expands ceramic capacitor series

Automotive and commercial grade enclosures are now available in EIA 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1206, and are rated at 16 to 250 VDC. These devices provide miniaturization and enhanced flexibility to optimize ESD rejection, RF filtering, blocking, sensing, and circuit protection. This portfolio offers additional case sizes, voltage ranges, capacitance values, and ESD ratings, and offers more options for more customer applications. Design engineers can choose X7R or COG dielectrics for circuits that require Class II or Class I stability and noise performance, and are able to design a given ESD standard according to the Human Body Model (HBM) AEC-Q200-002. ESD events are estimated to reduce assembly line productivity by as much as 33%. KEMET's ESD-rated capacitors enhance the circuit protection of integrated circuits, and the smaller size simplifies design while minimizing the impact on overall size.
