Bourns' latest product is a new family of thick film high voltage chip resistor devices optimized for high voltage and consumer electronics applications.
The CHV series has five package options from 0603 (1608 metric) to 2512 (6432 metric) and is designed to operate at 0603 size and 200 higher voltages (3 kV in 0603 size). RoHS compliant UL 1676 listed resistors are manufactured using rugged thick film elements printed on a ceramic substrate. The company said that the new series enhances the company's existing broad range of surface-mount chip resistors and complements its other circuit conditioning components, including power inductors, rectifier diodes and Zener diodes.
